Out-of-Network & Reimbursement

If your insurance plan is out-of-network, you may still be able to receive partial reimbursement from your provider, depending on your benefits. We can provide a “superbill” that you submit to your insurer. Before scheduling, we’ll verify what your plan offers so there are no surprises.

Sliding Scale & Financial Assistance

We understand financial situations vary. If you’re concerned about cost, we offer flexible payment options and can discuss sliding scales for qualifying clients. Contact us to explore whether this applies to you.

What to Expect

Here’s how the payment / insurance process works:

  1. Insurance Verification — We’ll check your benefits before your first session: copays, deductibles, session limits, and whether we’re in-network for your plan.

  2. Discuss Out-of-Pocket Costs — Based on what your insurance covers (or doesn’t), we’ll clarify what you’ll pay.

  3. Payment Due at Time of Service — Unless arranged otherwise, payment is due at each session.

  4. Submit Claims or Superbills — If needed, we’ll give you the documentation to reimburse from your insurer.

Why This Matters

  • To avoid unexpected costs

  • To help you feel confident and informed about your coverage

  • To enable us to focus on your care, rather than billing confusion
